A dozen skeletons lined up, all men, young, and buried upside down. The excavation of the mass grave of Etxaguen (Álava), the largest of the Civil war found in Euskadi, has discovered the bodies of 10 soldiers of the Perezagua Communist Battalion, shot in November 1936. The slope in which the forensic team Francisco Etxeberria has found the remains hides many more bodies, a number impossible to determine, according to the expert. The fact that the pit continues under a road makes it impossible to narrow it down and access it, but it did not stop paying homage to the memory of the murdered. An act presided by various politicians and in which together with the bones a ikurriña, a bouquet of flowers was deposited and the Agur Jaunak was sung.
